Every WhatsApp message includes the sender’s phone number. Torvi matches that number to the flat mapping the admin sets up during onboarding. Phone number is identity — no login needed. If a number is not in the system, Torvi responds with a friendly message asking the resident to contact their secretary.
No. Torvi is a platform — it never handles your society’s money. Residents pay directly to your existing society UPI ID using PhonePe, GPay, or Paytm. Torvi generates the payment link and confirms the receipt — but the money goes directly from the resident to your society’s account. We are not involved in the transaction.
Your society provides a dedicated mobile number — either a new SIM or an existing unused number. The number belongs to your society, not Torvi. We register it on Meta’s official WhatsApp Business platform and connect it to the Torvi AI. If you ever stop using Torvi, the number is yours to keep or reassign.
Yes. Each resident can only see their own flat’s data. There is no way for one flat to access another’s information — not through any button, link, or workaround. All data is stored in AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). We are DPDP Act 2023 compliant. We never sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than running your society. Yes, any time. WhatsApp “Export my data” to the Torvi number — you receive a complete Excel of all your society data within 24 hours. WhatsApp “Delete my data” and everything is permanently deleted within 7 days. No forms, no waiting, no questions asked. Your data is yours.
Yes. Torvi works alongside your existing platform without replacing it. During onboarding, you export a CSV from MyGate or ApnaComplex — it takes about 5 minutes from their admin panel — and share it with us. We normalise and import it. No API integration is needed to get started.

Torvi collects only the data necessary to provide society management services — flat numbers, phone numbers, and dues data shared by your society admin. We never sell your data. All data is stored in AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). Like all WhatsApp-based services, messages are routed through Meta’s global infrastructure — the same infrastructure used by all businesses using WhatsApp. Your data is stored and processed in India. Residents can request export or deletion of their data at any time by WhatsApping “Export my data” or “Delete my data” to the Torvi number, or by emailing hello@torvi.in. We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
Torvi is provided as-is during the pilot phase at no cost to pilot societies. By using Torvi, your society agrees to provide accurate dues and resident data. Torvi is not liable for errors arising from incorrect data provided during setup. Torvi acts as a platform and does not handle or process society funds.
